"My son Mike is a goaltender. And even though AHS does not offer any goaltender specific training, Mike has benefited greatly from the strength and endurance programs that AHS offers. He has attended several of the powerskating clinics.
Mike was one of the Goaltenders for Team Philadelphia Majors in 2008. That was a great experience for him. He placed in the top ten goaltenders at the showcase. He also attended the AHS boarding camp at Bridgton Maine that summer as well. Mike described it as one of the most intense camps he has ever attended.
These experiences helped him to transition successfully from Junior hockey into College hockey. This year Mike will be representing his college team at the All Star game for his division. Not bad for a freshman. Thanks for everything Charlie."

"Charlie Pens, where to start!! Charlie has been an incredibly positive influence on my 15 year old son, Jake. Jake made the Unionville varsity hockey team as a ninth grader, which was very exciting. Jake was a bit anxious about playing on a new team with new players, especially being his first year attending Unionville High School. Over the winter months, Charlie worked with Jake off ice on a one time a week basis. It was wonderful to see the enthusiasm Jake had when it was time to train with Charlie. Charlie not only helped Jake build his confidence on and off the ice but he also developed a strong bond with Jake. We saw a big difference in the way Jake played throughout his sessions with Charlie and the rest of the hockey season. Jake has a great deal of respect for Charlie which is not always common with a teenager:) We have often thought we chould have Charlie work with Jake weekly until he is 21 years old:)"
